After Grueling Battle, Storm Suffers Tough Loss to the Horsemen

REDMOND, OREGON - In a disappointing turn of events, the (1-1) Oregon High Desert Storm clashed with the (6-1) Idaho Horsemen this past weekend in a highly anticipated match-up. With the Horsemen leading the series 1-0, the Storm was eager to level the playing field and keep their hopes alive for a chance to host the 2023 AWFC Championship game. However, despite a valiant effort, the Storm fell short as the Horsemen outplayed them, securing a commanding 74-44 victory.

Trailing by 20 points heading into halftime, the Storm faced an uphill battle in their quest for redemption. Yet, displaying determination and unwavering resilience, they emerged from the locker room with renewed energy. Quarterback Mathew Ioane led the charge, showcasing his exceptional arm strength and accuracy to narrow the deficit to a mere six points. The crowd erupted with excitement, sensing a potential comeback in the making.

However, the Horsemen proved to be a formidable foe, unyielding in the face of the Storm's resurgence. Their defense, thwarted the Storm's offensive advances, leaving Ioane with limited options and few opportunities to rally his team further. The Horsemen's relentless pursuit of victory denied the Storm any chance of turning the tide in their favor.

As time ticked away, the Horsemen unleashed an offensive onslaught that dashed any hopes of an Oregon comeback. 

When the final whistle blew, it was the Idaho Horsemen who emerged victorious, celebrating a 74-44 win over the Oregon High Desert Storm. The defeat not only dealt a blow to the Storm's series aspirations but also eliminated their chances of hosting the 2023 AWFC Championship game.

The Storm is very disappointment with the outcome, but the team will regroup, learn from this defeat, and come back stronger. The team's focus now shifts to the upcoming matches and fighting their way back into contention."  The upcoming games will determine if the Storm will host the AWFC Playoff game in Redmond, OR.  Two games versus the Skyhawks and if the Storm is victorious, they can find their way into their 1st AWFC Championship game.
