GM/ Head Coach Ryan Doty Steps down
Redmond OR - General Manager and Head Coach Ryan Doty informed ownership that he would need to step down from the leadership role of the Oregon High Desert Storm. Coach Doty came on board with the Storm as the Special team's coordinator in the franchise's inaugural season. Coach Doty stepped into the GM/Head Coach role after the release of Coach Keith Evans prior to the 2022 season.
After stepping into his new role, Coach Doty, Asst GM Nick Moss, players, and ownership worked hard behind the scenes which led to long hours, a bunch of moving parts, and decisions to make it through the 2022 season. Coach Doty has made the hard decision to step down due to family & work obligations. The coach will always be a member of the Storm's family.
Building a sports franchise from the ground up takes quite a bit of time and door-knocking to be successful. We appreciate Coach Doty and his dedication to the team and franchise. His efforts have led us to the 3rd leg of our journey. The High Desert Storm will be entering its 3rd season in the American West Football Conference (AWFC). The Storm will be making the announcement on our new General Manager and Head Coach here soon
